Today marked the first official day of Cayce & Grove’s 12th season of volunteering our time with Tahoma High School’s We The People program. We The People is a civic education program funded by the Center for Civic Education and a longtime tradition in the Maple Valley community.
In each State high school students compete at the District then State level in hopes of continuing on to the National competition each spring in our Nation’s Capital.
We the People is a program that teaches well-beyond the textbook, Alumni of the program agree that critical thinking skills, increased confidence in oral advocacy, and that a greater awareness of our democracy are among the benefits gained by participating.
We know there are many hours of hard work ahead, but Cayce & Grove is wishing Tahoma’s team the best!
